PV AND BUILDING CULTURE: CHALLENGE OR CONFLICT OF OBJECTIVES?

Wednesday, 11 September 2024, 5:30 pm

Photovoltaics will play an important role in the city of the future. According to the federal government's net-zero strategy, the share of photovoltaic electricity production should increase from around 3.7 TWh (2022) to 34 TWh by 2050. Cities, cantons and sustainability labels have also formulated ambitious goals and targets.

At the first Denkraum event, we will explore the question of how this massive expansion of PV can be realized in our built environment in such a way that it is convincing from an architectural, urban and spatial planning perspective and thus also increases the acceptance of solar systems. Through an overview and analysis of sensible integration and supplementation strategies for PV in façade and roof design, we examine the extent to which these approaches can be used to achieve the targets by 2050 and what next steps are necessary on the part of politicians, manufacturers and planners.

Make a note of the date. Further information about the speaker panel and registration will follow.
