What can architecture contribute for more climate protection?

On the afternoon of June 15, the second public climate conference of the Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences OST will take place virtually. The focus is on climate-neutral buildings and areas and is dedicated to the following questions:

  • What can architecture contribute for more climate protection?
  • What can energy neutrality look like?
  • How do we deal with existing buildings?

Andres Herzog, co-manager of Hochparterre, speaks about his 33 climate tips to the architects. Carsten Wemhöner, professor for building technology at the OST, explains energy-neutral areas. Susanne Kytzia, head of the Institute for Construction and Environment at OST, explains the CO2 footprint of components and structures. Sebastian El Khouli reports on practical examples from our office.
