The voters of Schlieren have clearly approved the planning credit of 1.96 million Swiss francs for the expansion of the Zelgli school building with 62.3% voting in favor.
For us at BGP Architects, this gives the green light to continue planning the three-story expansion with a quadruple after-school care facility and four classrooms. The sustainable and high-quality concept convinced the population, who clearly decided against temporary solutions and in favor of a forward-looking approach.
The construction credit will be submitted to parliament and the public later in 2025. With a positive decision, construction could begin in 2027 with completion scheduled for 2028.
We are grateful for the trust placed in us and look forward to realizing this important educational project for the growing city of Schlieren.
