Perfect weather accompanied our office trip to Ticino this year – following in the footsteps of significant architectural icons and exciting contemporary buildings.
We began by exploring the themes of densification and spatial planning through the masterplan for Monte Carasso by Luigi Snozzi. Further stops included the Bauhaus Hotel on Monte Verità by Emil Fahrenkamp, the Losone School Centre by Livio Vacchini and Aurelio Galfetti, the ARCA – SBV Training Centre by Durisch+Nolli, and the Palacinema in Locarno by AZPML and DNF.
The day full of impressions, conversations and new impulses found its atmospheric conclusion with regional specialities at the Grotto Ticinese in Bellinzona.
