Office Trip 2026 – Two Days, Two Valleys – One Weatherproof Team

It's not just the hard drive that's full of thousands of photos – so are our heads. We didn't let the rain spoil a single hike – and right now we're longing for it back. In our ears the folk music still echoes from the eclectically furnished apartments of the Du Lac retirement home in St. Moritz – a lovely contrast to the raw materiality, executed with the finest sensitivity. And on we went, past shrinking glaciers, towards the Gletschergarten. Parting ways in Cavaglia – down to Poschiavo through the slippery rain, or straight to the spa instead? A feast of an evening, a night at the Monasterio, good night.

But there was so much more: stories from Poschiavo, winner of the 2025 Wakker Prize – from the salad mishap back home the day before to the confectioners and the who's who of Graubünden. Magic tricks on the train, nostalgic shots on a digital camera, and a plunge into the already very cold waters of the Lagh da Saoseo. Ice-cold colleagues who hiked until their soles fell off – and suddenly a mountain race, with roaring applause on the home stretch. A smile on every face, a cool drink in hand on the ride home, pleasantly exhausted and with a backpack full of memories.
