Living in Andreaspark

BGP_Andreaspark_Leben_in_grosser_Form.jpgThe concept behind the Steiner-Hunziker development area in Zürich's Leutschenbach district incorporates a cooperative approach to planning, giving consideration to open spaces, and enabling different lifestyles both at home and work. The residential building is the first distinctive component of this development. Nearly 160 flats have been built in addition to offices, industry, shops, and restaurants, which together create the conditions for a vibrant urban area. The differentiated treatment of the facades give an individual quality to the large building and lend each flat a distinctive character.

This monograph presents the Andreaspark residential high-rise, which represents the first stage according to the master plan. This foresees a total of 800 flats and 100,000m2 of office space. The monograph contains an introductory text by Köbi Gantenbein, editor in chief at Hochparterre, and contributions by the artist Jean Pfaff, along with numerous colour photographs and plans of the buildings, which were erected between 2001-2005.
