From the station down by the lake, the bus winds its way along broad serpentine bends up to the stop at Rötiboden. From there, it is only a few paces to the new development, its residences perched like eagles' eyries far above Wädenswil on Lake Zurich. The two buildings, in pale render with dark-framed openings, follow the gently curving edge of the slope. Connected by an underground garage, they are slightly angled and offset from each other. The compact treatment of these two houses respects the small scale of the properties in the area and integrates the pair into their immediate surroundings. A generous outdoor space extends to the south-west of the houses, with sun-drenched lawns and gravel surfaces making it an ideal play area.
An introductory text by BGP architects is accompanied by numerous colour photographs and plans documenting the building, which was erected between 2010 and 2011.
