Reflections about the connections between architecture and art form the core of this book. The ways in which similarities and peculiarities find expression lie at the focus of our observations, which have been made rather from curiosity than from scientific motives. Ours is an attempt to achieve a visual communication of direct and indirect influences, of analogies and associations.
The book opens with an image and concludes with an image. Neither a beginning nor an end have been fixed. The pictures and plans stand for a process. As a whole, they document a stage of our creative endeavour; individually they illustrate particular aspects of an undertaking.
