Book Salon 2011

Jointly with Hochparterre Bücher, BGP organises the Book Salon, a programme of events centred on recently published books in the areas of architecture, art and philosophy. This new platform aims to stimulate discussion and bring together practitioners of a wide variety of disciplines.

These discussions are chaired and are held in the presence of the author and an invited panel of speakers. The current series began in May 2011 with the book 'Atmosphere – Hypotheses for a Process of Spatial Perception' by Elisabeth Blum, from Lars Müller Publishers.

As well as the book under discussion on a particular evening, Hochparterre Bücher – the bookshop for architecture, art and design – brings along a range of books on related subjects.

Since the Book Salon is held on the premises of Galerie Bob Gysin, visitors also have the opportunity to view its regularly changing exhibitions of contemporary art.
